The Government winked at the Brazilian bondiola and made the local pork sector angry. Producers denounce discriminatory treatment that puts local companies at risk.

These bondiolas imported from Brazil with preferential treatment are produced using ractopamine, a feed additive that promotes the growth of pigs and whose use is not regulated in Argentina. “We do not want an advantage, but neither do we want unfair competition. That is why we ask the Government to review its decision to avoid unnecessary damage to our producers and industries,” says José Dodds.
