The first urban cable car in Île-de-France, Cable 1, does not only have virtues in terms of mobility. If it will open up the sector from Créteil to Villeneuve-Saint-Georges, by 2025, it will also help the development of biodiversity.
The construction site required encroaching on neighboring agricultural land. These 700 m3 of land suitable for crops which have been excavated will be preserved and stored on site, before being reused during the landscaping.
