The two teams were already eliminated from the chance to qualify for the quarterfinals, because they had stumbled against Tahiti and Iran. Argentina, in this edition held in the United Arab Emirates, returned to a World Cup after three editions. Argentina won thanks to goals from Emiliano Holmedilla, Axel Rutterschmidt, Ponzieri, Manuel Pomar and Lucas Medero.
