Eight passengers aboard a Norwegian Cruise Line liner suddenly saw their dream vacation cut short at the end of March. Late for the meeting time set by the company after a stopover in Sao Tome and Principe, off the coast of Gabon, they were unable to get back on board.

Since then, they have crossed several African countries to try to re-board the ship, which stopped in Senegal on April 2. The unfortunate group found themselves stranded, without money, travel documents, medicine or other personal effects.
