The Government Investigation Committee for Investigating Spies (Pegasus) announced the resumption of its activities. The committee's activity was frozen following the Iron Swords War and now it is supposed to resume.
In the background stands the issue of its authority to deal with the Netanyahu files as well. The Ministry of Justice is expected to extend its mandate until December 2024 and ask the committee to speed up the preparation for its activity. The members of the committee believe that the investigation using spies that the police used should also be done regarding the cases being discussed in court.
