Russ Cook is the first person to cover the entire length of the African continent on foot. The journey, baptized "Project Africa," began on April 22 of last year in Cape Town.

The original plan was to complete the journey in 240 days and reach Cape Angela, about 90 kilometers north of Tunisia, by Christmas. But along the way he encountered more than one setback and the trip tookQuite a while. Cook never gave up and on Sunday, 352 days after putting on the shoes for the first time, he reached the finish line.
