The longest cycle path in the world leads along the North Sea through Lower Saxony. At 6,000 kilometers, EuroVelo 12 is the longest continuous cycle path.

Along this route, marshlands, dikes and the Wadden Sea characterize the landscape. A highlight of the route is the optional ferry connections to the East Frisian Islands, Spiekoog, Nney or Borkum. The North Sea Coastal Cycle Path was even listed in the Guinness Book of Records in 2003.
