Obed Beltrán Sanchez, 35, died after being shot at the Mount Eden station in the Bronx. Authorities believe he was not involved in the argument between rival gangs that led to the shooting.
Five other people, including a 14-year-old girl and two men, ages 28 and 71, were injured. The Mexican consul in New York, Jorge Islas, reported that he has already contacted his family. The New York Police Department published photos of two men with their faces half covered who were on the station platform.
