The millionaire fines imposed on Trump in two civil trials in New York leave the Republican without liquidity. Added to the interest on the sanctions is the expense on lawyers, largely borne by his campaign committee: last year he dedicated more than $50 million to minutes alone.

Trump beat Nikki Haley in the South Carolina primary this Saturday and his path to the presidential election seems completely clear.
