Russian pilot Maxim Kuzminov was shot dead in Alicante on February 13. Spanish intelligence services suspect that gunmen sent by Moscow killed the deserter.
The murder occurred on the parking ramp of the Cala Alta residential complex in Villajoyosa. In the same neighborhood there is a place that the community uses as an Orthodox temple. A kilometer away, the Romanian faithful are building a church in the same area of La Cala. The pilot defected to the Ukrainian army in August 2023 and surrendered without documentation.
