Silver fir from Hohenpeißenberg was made available to the city of Munich so that it could be used as a Christmas tree can serve on Munich's Marienplatz. The wood from the former Christmas tree has created four new seats and benches.

One is in front of the town hall, one in front. of the Chapel of Grace and one in Buchschorn. The tree trunk would be cut into five-meter pieces so that the tree could be transported away more easily. Only the branches remained in Munich, says the deputy head of the municipal building yard, Markus Eggersdorfer. The benches have brass signs embossed with the following inscription: “This bench was made from the Hohen Paißenberg Christmas tree “Standing on Munich’s Marien Platz in 2022” – and the Munich city coat of arms.” The tree was delivered in November and lit up for the first time on December 1, 2022.
