The ombudsman: If a conscription law is not enacted by April, the IDF will have to conscript ultra-Orthodox - voila! news. The Legal Adviser to the Government, Gali Beharev Miara, appealed to the High Court today (Wednesday) and claimed that the government would be obliged to conscription the Haredi yeshiva students.
The High Court is expected to rule on the appeal in the next few days. The law must be enacted by the end of April, says the ombudsman.
