The traditional Or Yehuda race that takes place every year for the 12th year was held last Friday. The race took place this year to mark the Shabbat of the kidnapped from Hamas captivity.
Orit Meir, the mother of Almog Meir Jan, who has been in captivity for over 4 months, started the race to 5 kilometers and received emotional applause from the crowd of runners who were excited along with her. In the 10 km race, Noa Barkman won first place with a time 35:44 minutes.
