Ricardo Akins, a retired senior non-commissioned officer of the Marine Corps, had landed in the Malvinas one day before the start of the war. Akins was serving as private custodian of a 77-year-old woman.

This Saturday afternoon two criminals assaulted him in Lanús, when he was unloading things from the bed of a Volkswagen Amarok truck. There, he was shot to death by one of the criminals. "I haven't processed what happened, but it's all very painful," said Brian Akins.
