The Peißenberg Miners have been named best striker, goalkeeper and coach of the year in the Bavarian Ice Hockey League. Top scorer Ryan Murphy was particularly pleased about the successful year with the Miners.

Miners coach Stefan Ihsen and goalkeeper Korbinian Sertl are also recognized for this outstanding season. “Ice hockey is not just a game, it’s a lot of work for all of us. I come to the ice because I love it,” enthused Murphy, happy for his colleagues. The Miners lost the final against EHC Königsbrunn, but impressed spectators, fans and competitors with their hard work on the ice throughout the season. The American striker even beat his own record with 91 points, a personal best since the beginning of his career. He was promptly named “Player of the Year” and “Striker of the Month” for November. The honors would not only please the players, but the entire team, because everyone makes the success possible.
