Several French athletes, including Clarisse Agbégnénou and Manon Genest, want to experience the Olympics as close as possible to their young children. Paris 2024 is considering solutions allowing moms and dads to meet their children in dedicated spaces, without these taking the form of daycare.

Because visits must remain exceptional, and placed under the control of the national Olympic committees, which manage the “guest passes” made available to them as they wish. Whatever the new rule set in the coming weeks, no child will be able to sleep in the Olympic village.
