The PP resists strongly in Galicia and maintains the absolute majority. The growth of nationalism sinks the socialists and Sumar while the PP keeps its support intact.
The popular candidate Alfonso Rueda has won 40 seats, two less than in 2020, but enough to continue governing after 15 uninterrupted years of the PP in the Galician Executive. The leftist coalition has obtained only 1.88% of the votes and will not have theGalician Parliament. The PP also once again kept Vox at bay, which confirmed that Galicia is hostile territory for the extreme right.
