Peru's Prime Minister Alberto Otárola resigns after a scandal over alleged influence peddling. It was after the leak of some audios where he is heard expressing affection towards a woman who in 2023 obtained two contracts with the State.
She held former President Martín Vizcarra directly responsible for the alleged influence-peddling. VizcarRA and Figueredo have denied the accusations and even point out that they do not know the young woman. He added that he will file "a formal complaint" against him, for what he considered "aggravated defamation"
