[HIGHLIGHTS] The private plane in which Karol G was traveling makes an emergency landing in Los Angeles

The aircraft had taken off from Hollywood Burbank Airport with 16 people on board heading east, but turned around when the pilot reported smoke in the cockpit. The causes of the incident have not been reported.

Karol G won the Grammy and was named Woman of the Year by Billboard magazine in February. The Colombian singer-songwriter is expected to be honored on March 6 at the Billboard Women in Music. The aircraft in which the Grammy Award winner was traveling with other people landed at the Van Nuys airport around 9 p.m.
