The Prosecutor's Office has opened criminal investigation proceedings against the mayor of Ourense. Gonzalo Pérez Jácome (Democracia Ourensana) is accused of embezzling public funds.

Former colleagues from his party who are now part of the Democratic Center Coalition (CCD) party have filed a complaint. The complainants point out that Já come combined “his professional activity and the public salary” knowing that they were incompatible, the complaint says.
