PSOE asks Congress for an extension to finalize the amnesty law with Junts. The socialist parliamentary group requests from the Lower House Board an extension of 15 days starting on Wednesday.
The main obstacle continues to be in the wording of the law. Junts wants to tweak to have the absolute guarantee that Carles Puigdemont, its leader, and others implicated in different cases of terrorism or high treason will not be forced to enter preventive detention once the measure is approved. The Government insists that this is already guaranteed in the current wording.
