The relationship between Europe and Israel that Spain demands to review generates commercial exchanges of 63,000 million annually. The EU is Israel's main partner, representing 25% of its transactions abroad.

But the interruption of the agreement - or any of its clauses - due to breaches of international humanitarian law by Israel is not simple. The Twenty-Seven have not been able to agree even to demand a humanitarian ceasefire – they ask for “humanitarian pauses” – as the United States or France have done.
