Pope Francis and President of Argentina Javier Milei met for the first time. The meeting raised great expectations due to the severe disqualifications Milei had offered to Francis years ago.
But the bad omens disappeared with the hug given by Milei and the friendly comments from Francisco. Two people with very high responsibilities and very different visions had decided after the grievances, one to ask for forgiveness and the other - following the most basic Christian doctrine - to forgive, look forward and dialogue, something unusual in today's Argentina.
