On the planet, 60 reactors are underConstruction, 110 in project and more than 300 under study, lists the World Nuclear Association. This is more, in total, than the approximately 436 active reactors, which generated 10% of the world's electricity in 2022. Around forty countries are investing in atomic energy today. The United States, the United Kingdom, France and 18 other states announced in December that they would triple their nuclear power by 2050.
