A runner was run over by a motorcyclist in the Guadalajara Marathon. The incident occurred when there was one kilometer left to finish the route.
The victim was identified under the name of Israel Oropeza Vázquez. The vehicle fled and the identity of the culprits is still unknown. The accident was recorded by one of the spectators who was on the side of the road that marked the trail. The motorcycle driver justified himself by arguing that he was dazzled by the sun at the moment of impact.
