The Siberian Battalion is made up of Russian citizens, in opposition to the Moscow regime. When they enter Ukraine, they are interrogated by Ukrainian intelligence and then sent to train.

So far, about 100 men have been integrated into the Siberian Battalion, but according to Kiev, many more candidates from Russia are waiting to be qualified. Ukrainian commander Batya: “I spend a lot of time with them in training, and I can't help but trust them.” “We are brothers in arms and, as such, we trust each other 100%.”
