Argentina's Foreign Ministry condemned Israel's recent bombings in the Gaza Strip. Israel justified the bombings on Thursday in the same statement in which it repudiates Cafiero's conviction.
"Israel will continue to defend its citizens from all terrorist actions," Israel says. "No democracy in the world would let the firing of missiles at its cities and inhabitants pass in silence," says Cafieros. "Islamic Jihad is a terrorist and fundamentalist organization funded and supported by Iran," he adds. "This group has been designated as terrorist by the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom"
