Richard Saleh, a rising star in the prosecutor's office, is suspected of abusing his power and breach of trust. His identity was released today after a court hearing.

He won the National Outstanding Award, and led the process of suspending the former mayor of Kiryat Motzkin, who himself was accused of corruption. Saleh and his battery of lawyers deny the suspicion against him. He is an expert in the field of "combined enforcement", that is, harming criminals in general and criminal organizations in particular, in civil enforcement at the same time as criminal enforcement, for example in the prevention or denial of a business license. The Lahav 433 unit that arrested him, interrogated him and collected evidence from others in the unit's offices and after a few hours released him to his home under restrictive conditions while keeping him away from his job for 15 days. But State Attorney Amit Isman, who knows the attorney well since his days as Haifa district attorney, has already asked to review Saleh's suspension until the end of the investigation.
