Small coastal town of Fairbourne, Wales, is at risk of flooding due to climate change. The government warned that it will be underwater in 2054.

Authorities have invested millions of pounds to reinforce a sea wall and around three kilometers of barriers. Half a million properties in the UK are at risk from coastal flooding by the end of 2080, according to the Climate Change Committee, an advisory body to the UK government. "The challenge that the government has is that it is not addressing the problem with the urgency that is needed," says the committee's chairman.
