The exemption from conscription for the ultra-Orthodox expires tomorrow, and according to the High Court's decision, budgeting for yeshiva will stop. The High Court of Justice will discuss in May with an expanded panel of nine judges the question of actually recruiting the ultra/Orthodox.

It is not clear whether such a move will have a majority in the government and the Knesset, in light of the opposition of ministers Gantz and Galant and MKs in Likud. Haredi sources estimate that if there is no progress in the legislation, it will take at least 5-7 months for a large part ofYeshiva students to be considered apostates.
