The United Arab Emirates suspended its involvement in the humanitarian corridor to Gaza following the killing of the aid workers. Sources close to the government of the UAE said that Abu Dhabi would renew its involvement only if Israel provided guarantees that aid workers would not be attacked by the IDF.

"We call for an independent and transparent investigation and to punish those responsible for this heinous crime which is a violation of international law," the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. The UAE is the main financier of the maritime corridor through which the World Central Kitchen organization transferred aid to Gaza.
