The United States Lower House approves an impeachment trial against the Secretary of Homeland Security. This Tuesday's vote was the second to attempt the impeachment against Alejandro Mayorkas, an initiative that has no signs of succeeding in the Senate.

The initiative must now be sent to the Senate, where it has no prospect of succeeding, given the control of the Democratic Party in that institution. It is the first time in 150 years that congressmen have spoken in favor of opening an impeachment, or political trial, against a member of the Government.
