The Viron studio in Lourdes is home to the only photos ever taken of Bernadette Soubirous. Philippe Viron, great-great-grandfather of the current owner, is the only one to have obtained authorization from the bishop to photograph the little girl to whom the Virgin Mary is appeared 18 times.
The studio is located a stone's throw from the sanctuaries of the Marian City in Hautes-Pyrénées, and is open to the public.
