The UN Security Council has agreed for the first time to demand an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Israel would be willing to release 800 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for 40 hostages in a ceasefire agreement.

The Israeli administration is now more optimistic that an agreement will be reached, they see a 50% chance, after both parties have made their position more flexible during the meetings that took place this weekend in Doha. The Gaza Health Ministry, controlled by Hamas, raised this Monday to 32,333 deaths - most of them children and women.
