President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke this Thursday for the first time since Israel's deadly attack on a convoy of humanitarian workers in Gaza. Biden has strongly condemned the attack on volunteers from World Central Kitchen, an organization founded by Spanish-American chef José Andrés.

In an unprecedented twist to the usual unrestricted support for Israel, he said Biden imposed conditions on Netanyhau: “Furthermore, the president made clear that US policy toward Gaza will be determined by our assessment of Israel's immediate action in these steps,” the White House said.
