The Water Funds program, implemented 20 years ago in Quito and adopted this year by a British city, the region leads basin conservation models. It is projected that by 2025 at least two-thirds of the world's population will live in water-stressed areas.

The Water Funds model, conceived and developed in Latin America, has managed to expand throughout the world and impact the strategies of the global north. Its adaptable and integrated solutions have allowed effective knowledge transfer, and have positioned the region as a global leader.
