Daniel Notta had already been in charge of the management in 2002, when the organization was created. Notta is a herbal producer with more than 35 years in the activity in Misiones.
The National Yerba Mate Institute began to take shape in 2001, in the midst of a deep crisis that affected the primary yerba mate sector.
