Marco Ferace, mayor of Santiago Temple, reported that alleged thieves entered his home, stole his belongings and left him a letter with death threats. Police seized letters with threats against the mayor, which he himself indicated referred to him stepping down from his candidacy for the upcoming local elections on June 18.
The community chief said that it was not an act of insecurity "but a threat" and that, with this statement of action, "all limits have been exceeded" Ferace recalled that in 2019 he also suffered threats so he was in police custody at his home.
