The two defendants were arrested in 2016, with three other people who are now deceased, in possession of weapons and explosives. The defendants explained that they wanted to “neutralize” these weapons, which according to them represented 15% of the arsenal of ETA (Euskadi Ta Askatasuna) “ These are lenient sentences ”, underlined the prosecutor at the conclusion of her requisitions.
