Bosnia-Herzegovina's Perucica forest is one of the last two primary forests in the Old Continent. Spread over 1,434 hectares in the middle of the Dinaric Alps, it is home to an extremely rich flora.

Among the 36 species of mammals found there, there are foxes, wild boars, wolves and even brown bears living in complete freedom. Rare and endangered species are also observed there such as the wild cat, the lynx and the mole rat.
