Three members of same family killed in fire near Venice. The victims were named as 64-year-old Gianni Boscolo Scarmanati, his wife Luisella Veronese 59, and their son Davide.
The three were sleeping upstairs in the house and are thought to have died of smoke inhalation after the blaze gripped the groundfloor. The fire broke out overnight at their home in the town of Sottomarina di Chioggia, near Venice, in Italy.
