The arrested individuals admitted to having sold all kinds of false documents since 2021. Investigators estimated that the site was visited by “54,000 people per day” and that it had generated “2.7 million documents” between its creation and its closure last week. Around 30,000 euros in cryptocurrencies were seized. “Their primary goal was not to make money. There was a desire to challenge authority,” said an investigator.
