Thuringia used less money in 2023 than expected. This leaves more in the country's savings stockpile.

The Free State will probably not have to take on any new debt next year either. Thuringia has 1.3 billion euros in reserve. The problem is that the state cannot set up budgets without dipping into reserves. It will only be revised by the new government and introduced into the state parliament.
