Tigran Mekhitarian plays Léandre in Les Fourberies de Scapinin in front of primary school classes and high school students. He directs eight actors in an “urban” adaptation punctuated by rap tunes, but faithful to Molière’s play.
“Young people are rediscovering the classical language,” rejoices Mekhitar, who has been highlighting the modernity of Jean-Baptiste Poquelin for almost a decade.
