Mondelez group announces closure of LU biscuit factory in Château-Thierry, Aisne. The factory employs around sixty employees and has been in gradual decline since the 1990s.
A day of strike is planned for February 16: “This announcement is the exact opposite of what was indicated by the Director General France a year ago,” protests the mayor. If no buyer comes forward, it will study possibility of subjecting the company to obligations to revitalize the territory.
