Underlying this short novel by the Colombian Nobel Prize winner are doubts about his real will to publish it and the reasons of his heirs for doing so. We visited the Harry Ransom Center, in Texas, where they treasure five versions with their corrections by hand and the rest of the Nobel legacy.
