Trump's return to the White House would probably lead to higher defense spending by the European NATO states. Instead of condemning Trump's statements, it is better for European members to fulfill their obligations to NATO. If you stop paying the fees, you would expect your access to be cut off; European defense should be treated with as much seriousness as American defense.
