28 committed athletes founded TuS Geretsried 75 years ago. Since then, the sports community has developed into one of the largest and most diverse clubs in the south of Munich.
Around 60 invited guests came together on Friday evening to toast the anniversary in the TuS clubhouse. The association, which is a year older than the community, has shaped its development on a political and social level, emphasized Mayor Michael Müller. TuS currently has around 2,400 members in twelve departments, and there will be a big celebration on a weekend in June.. The ceremonial speeches repeatedly highlighted the importance of togetherness for everyone involved - for the political community, the people living in GereTSried and the club. “Without support in the construction and operation of the sports facilities, we would be fighting a losing battle,” emphasized TuS boss Mirko Naumann. Anyone who also wants to prove themselves in sports can take part in the sports badge day a week in advance.
