Twenty-year-old dies on Mont Blanc massif. Accident occurred at around 3,400 meters above sea level.
The mountaineer fell for around 150 metres, down to the glacier below. His climbing partner was only able to raise the alarm during the night, after he managed to reach the Conscrits refuge. He was not injured, but in shock, according to the French gendarmes-rescuers. Yesterday, two hikers died in Haute-Savoie (France), not far from Mont Blanc, after falling about 50 meters into a steep canal.
