Two children, ages 12 and 16, died in a house fire in Valparaíso, Chile. The fire broke out weeks after another round of fires killed more than 100 people.

Several communities in the Valparaiso region were being evacuated. The extent of the damage is unclear, but authorities estimated that between 15 and 40 homes were affected by the latest outbreak of forest fires in the country's Pacific coast. The largest outbreak was recorded on the same hill and although it left no people dead, it affected at least 15 affected homes.
